I couldn't have done it without you.

First I would like to thank my wonderful colleagues in the Capstone Course. Your encouragement, technological help, and inspiration throughout the semester has meant that I have ended up with a much, much better project than I could have otherwise. You set the bar for what a great capstone project can be.

Professor Debelius deserves a special thank you for putting up with endless pestering from nervous, overachieving MA students (like me) who wanted to know exactly what a capstone was going to be like. Despite all of my office visits, emails, and questions she was always gracious with her time. Her vision for this project, practical advice, and good humor has made the prospect of being a "guinea pig" for the new and improved Capstone exciting instead of terrifying.

As my mentor, Professor Tilden also requires a special thank you. Every time I rehearsed my still half-formed ideas to her she gave me insightful feedback and suggested how to make my project more focused and rigorous. In addition, she gave me thoughtful feedback throughout the project that allowed me to more clearly articulate my meaning. I know that this project is far better because of her.

And finally, I would like to thank Calvin for being my first reader, tech helper, and crisis averter.  This project wouldn't have happened without you.
